Each was made adjusting the values of what was already in the picture to draw out or subdue the colors to change the feel of it.

Finally I combined them. I did the same process bringing out the hidden colors but then turned the rest b&w. Allowing it to truly shine.

Next I desaturated the petals except for all yellow & orange hues, then I boosted those higher. I think this brings out hidden beauty.

First is striking black and white edit. I think this really pulls focus to the flower itself without losing natural beauty.

Originally taken on a trip to The Berkeley Rose Garden with a childhood friend in May 2017. The 1st printing of the photo now hangs in her home as part of a wedding present to her and her husband.
