It's a transformative type of move. Most people still think WWE is the only wrestling out there. Cena comes in, that changes. New eyes on AEW to show people "whoa, wrestling can be THIS? This is pretty damn cool."

With the right dance partner, his wrestling isn't all bad. WWE just didn't have many pure wrestlers to elevate him.

On top of that, it's the WWE machine. He was their modern day Hogan. He didn't need to try hard in the ring, they were shoving him down your throat either way. He's capable of more.

I know Vince Russo is lying, but John Cena in AEW would actually be super interesting. He could work new venues like Tokyo Dome or Arena Mexico or Wembley & new opponents like Okada or Omega. Won't happen, still fun to ponder.

That's what I was thinking too. I don't care about the Dudleys, NXT, any of it. The only two people on their roster worth watching recently (Speedball and Alexander) work for AEW now.

Doesn't matter if their "biggest show" was yesterday. TNA is irrelevant 365 days a year.
