I'm pretty astounded by the average consumer's trust in big tech. After working in the industry for 25+ years, I have almost zero trust in these firms, including the new ones. Be cautious when trusting an LLM, as they're not your friend.

We've bet our whole economy on LLMs, and that was a bad move. I'm now 100% convinced that the current systems are a dead end, and I will need to exit safely soon. The run-up may continue, but doom today or doom tomorrow... It's still DOOM!

Go on LinkedIn, watch everyone complain about AWS being down, then I find some great gems about how you failed to architect your systems. This is classic failure-domain analysis and understanding your MTTR. If your service is down, don't blame the cloud provider; blame your architect.

Nothing about the escalation of this 'trade war' is strategic. In fact, there seems to be only downsides in most scenarios... So why are we doing this? Because of one single idiot who can't see past his own ego. This is a level of insanity that is difficult to quantify.
