Alicia Kearns spoke powerfully on the Today programme this morning about the Chinese spying case and the threat to our national security. Yet she, plus many MPs from all parties, Government depts and ministers, is still on Twitter. Musk is as grave a threat to the UK and should be treated as such.

Also one for the membership to ponder, Johnson & Truss winning leadership through aping Churchill&Thatcher, Truss via insta (compared to her feed now), plus Badenoch and now Jenrick running their campaigns through an effective Twitter strategy. Maybe a closer look ar policy&suitability needed?

On media reward, I thought Sky’s report on recent MRP sensationalist & failed their viewers. You can perhaps understand it 4 weeks from an election, but 4 years? Why not focus on policy&delivery. When Justine Greening left politics saying she could have greater impact elsewhere, you can see why

It highlights where BBC has really struggled with multichannel. I grew up admiring Oakley, Sergeant, Pienaar& Marr, now I barely follow what Mason etc publish, as I get better analysis from other commentators. People may say ‘echo chamber’ but they are usually objective across the political spectrum
