Labour MP Olivia Blake tells Shabana Mahmood that her rhetoric about asylum seekers being handed a "golden ticket" is "deeply offensive" and "feeds division" "and will only strengthen Reform not beat them".

A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

The Greens don’t believe providing safe refuge for endangered asylum seekers is an “out-of-control” policy.

Nor do we believe making life more difficult for those in need is the way to unify British society.

Refugees are welcome.

Every week I get a bit prouder of myself for voting Green at the last election. Even though I was a Labour member at the time! Wish they'd proven me wrong but at every turn Starmer and Labour have ballsed it up. Very hard to achieve TBH.

Asked if Keir Starmer believes British people want to "see refugee children pulled out of school and deported after 10 years in this country”, his spokesman says that “what the British public wants and what this government was elected on a mandate to deliver was to secure our borders"

Labour has comprehensively trapped itself by agreeing to play entirely by their opponents’ rules.

The game is fixed so the only move that’s ever available is more and worse cruelty, while at the same time no level of cruelty will ever be enough to win.

A moral & political death-spiral.
Lots of Labour MPs asking Mahmood tonight to rule out child detention. She won’t rule it out. That’s because forced removals of families will mean children in detention for periods.

Home Office ruling out deportation of lone minors but the changes will certainly mean more detention of children.

Whoever invented cyclocross has a lot to answer for. Hopefully my son has done his last cross race today (for a good while) and I can sell his bikes! So much faff, time, energy and expense for 40 minutes of sport! and I love all sport! Maybe I'm just allergic to mud.

Is @a38cycleway.bsky.social getting royalties for this clip? 😂 Amazing how the pit area of the old Birmingham Grand Prix motor racing circuit (now Bristol Street Motors car showroom) is featured in a pro cycling edit 😎🚲🔥

This ladies and gentlemen is why we love sport and football. Miraculous. 5 goals in 4 days for Troy Parrott keeps the Irish World Cup dream alive!! The owners, FIFA, EFL, UEFA and Premier League can try and ruin it and steel the magic with their greed but the beautiful game always wins out. Limbs.
Troy Parrott. Echos of Robbie Keane's goal against Germany in 2002. What a moment. #COYBIG 🇮🇪

Get the delivery guys to park in the loading bay at the end of the street and bring it the short distance from there.

Who wants more walking & cycling paths adjacent to train lines? Like the brilliant new Misbourne Greenway in Buckinghamshire. Kudos to @walkwheelcyclet.bsky.social for delivering this in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council with funding support from DfT & HS2. NB: There is a pub at both ends!

The #EFL and #SkySports yet again putting fans last by moving Rovers away games away to Ipswich and Norwich to early kick offs! 🤦‍♂️
Putting money first and fan experience last yet again. Just about doable on train but any delays and miss start of game

If this happens and they continue to cut car fuel prices (approaching two decades without a rise now) then those in any doubt must know that Labour and this government is pro oil, pro billionaires, pro climate change and pro inequality.

To be clear, what is being proposed here is to axe the main mechanism for getting Britain’s homes insulated - which is by FAR the best way to reduce household energy bills in the long term 🤦‍♂️

…and also, just incidentally, an absolute non-negotiable requirement for meeting UK climate targets 😬🥵☠️

Want more people on trains? Do this 👇

Public transport often treats bikes as a luxury—or worse a competitor—but without them leaves revenue on the table.

For 25 years, the Dutch have extended the reach of their railways through investments in (300,000) parking spaces and (25,000) shared bikes. The result? A doubling of train ridership.

Magic of the Cup? Not if you've sexist owners who've stopped funding the team resulting in double relegation. Fighting hard though. 3-0 to Bu****y after 34mins. Glad chose to watch this over putting money into our owners pockets #VenkysOut #FACup #Rovers 🔵⚪

God the West Midlands have so much improvement to do when it comes to public transport and active travel. What I've seen today whilst walking and using the train is truly depressing. When will the penny drop with our political and administrative leaders?

Hey #Labour members, Cllrs and MPs! Your PM & leadership have really messed up. When working class Blackburn footy fans (Labour for decades under Barbara Castle & Jack Straw) are singing "Kier Starmer's a wanker" after ten mins away to Coventry you really have lost the country. Jump ship to Greens 👍

It costs a lot less to house people.
