With the recent passing of Ace Frehley and the 34th anniversary of Death's Human album, here's a really cool cover of one of the best Kiss songs:

Been listening a lot to Testament's new album Para Bellum and it's really awesome. I love all all the different elements they added together with their thrash stuff. The drumming from Chris Dovas is sick too. Easily one of my favorite albums of the year.

September 2025 US video game data fun fact - The PlayStation 5 has now surpassed the PlayStation 3 in lifetime installed base.

So that's cool.

Source: Circana Retail Tracking Service.

Shout out to Maki on the InstallBase forum for reminding me about this one.
Been out of the loop on AEW the past few months but caught up on #AEWWrestleDream. It was a really good show. Darby Allin is nuts. The Jurassic Express/The Young Bucks and Brodido/ Okada & Takeshita tag matches were awesome.

The McDonald’s x Street Fighter collab in Japan is incredible. No notes. 🤌

Ace Frehley, the wild Spaceman of Kiss who played guitar in the band throughout their Seventies heyday and again during the reunion period in the Nineties and inspired an entire generation of musicians, has died at age 74.

More on his life and legacy:

Rest in Power to the Spaceman Ace Frehley. I can't believe he suddenly passed away. His influence was monumental, especially on all the metal bands that followed. I was always more of a casual KISS fan but Ace's look and style is still cool to this day.
RIP to the legendary Tomonobu Itagaki. His Ninja Gaiden games on the original Xbox were some of the best of that era.

Saw that it was the 20th anniversary of Samoa Joe vs. Kenta Kobashi in Ring of Honor. Just watched the match for the first time and it's still incredible. The crowd is insane and both guys just kill each other the whole match.

Got the steelbook for #SilentHillF from GameStop by pre-ordering the game. The steelbook is already going for crazy prices online. I've been looking forward to the game all year.
Turned back the clock and gamed like it was 2006 again by finishing #GearsOfWarReloaded in one long co-op session on #PS5. The campaign is still great but shows its age more now. It also looks way different visually from the original release. I still can't believe Gears is on PlayStation.
Real missed opportunity by not having a PlayStation-branded, Marcus Fenix-style durag as a pre-order bonus for Gears of War Reloaded on PS5.
Rolled credits last night on the first Death Stranding. Took me a long time but I finally got it done. I loved the game. It wasn't perfect but a lot of the design was cool and the story gets insanely weird. I still don't fully understand it all yet. I'm moving onto the sequel pretty soon.
Anthrax's Persistence of Time released 35 years ago today. It's one of my favorite albums. I love the heavier, darker and more serious tone of the songs. Start to finish the whole album kills.
Death by Scrolling, Silent Hill f, Cronos: The New Dawn, Ghost of Yotei and Resident Evil: Requiem all looked great at Gamescom. Those are my favorites from the show today. The rest of it was too long and boring.

this is the world premiere event for Black Ops 7
That dramatic trailer and the song choice for Road Kings was something else.
Denshattack! looks really cool.
With Hollow Knight: Silksong getting an official announcement this week from the devs that's most likely a release date, I should probably finally play the original game to see what all the massive hype is about.
The new Coroner song "Renewal" is sick. Their first new album in 32 years called Dissonance Theory is coming out in October. These guys are still a fantastic live band too. Criminally underrated. Can't wait for the new album and to see them again on tour.

Saw a car with a sticker of the Bridges logo from Death Stranding on the back window. That's so random. Dude must be a mega fan. I was tempted to speed up next to him and give a big thumbs up like just for that.
Listened to Thin Lizzy's Live and Dangerous album for the first time. Blew my mind. It has to be one of the best live albums ever made. I'm just now getting into Thin Lizzy but they're becoming one of my favorite bands already.
