Have you noticed that the "Accounts" tab in Tiller is intentionally blank?

Use the drop downs to select your accounts that are sync'd and assign them a category group if you want.

Use the Balances sheet to review your account balances and when they were last updated. The Balances sheet gives a net worth total and organizes accounts by asset and liability as well as group if you have those configured on the Accounts sheet.

5. Sorting your sheet helps you find patterns and organize your information.

In either Google Sheets or Excel, highlight a range of cells and right click to sort the selected range.

4. Organizing data into a spreadsheet often starts with column headers.

Type into row 1 what you want to put into each column. EX: "First Name" and "Last Name".

You want to be able to see the column headers when you scroll.

Use the View menu to choose what rows and columns you want to freeze.

3. Spreadsheets get even more powerful with formulas.

In any cell type an equals sign.

Following the equals sign you can do basic math with your cell referencing.

=E2+E7+E12
This would add up the values in these 3 cells.

=SUM(E2:E27)
Adds up all the cells in the range.

2. After identifying the sheet, each cell is named by the column letter and row number. This helps you reference a specific spot in your spreadsheet. For example Categories!E2 tells you to refer to the Categories sheet, the 5th column, and the 2nd row.

1. Understand that you can organize text or numbers in your spreadsheet. Spreadsheets have multiple pages, which can be identified by the sheet tabs at the bottom. When first opening a shared spreadsheet, look for all the sheet tabs so you don't miss anything.
