The scientists and other workers at Futura Fortuna are waiting for something to happen. Research is slow. The tension looms heavy over them. Some carry the burden of hope, others are in deep despair.
Not that it matters... The line between the both is non-existent at that point, anyways.

It is ridiculous how humans think that their importance would halt the very being of the universe. The earth continued onwards when the dinosaurs went extinct. And so it will now, because you cannot exist unaffected by the #HeavyForce.

little comic I originally planned to make for shortbox. now obviously i'm not part of the shortbox lineup, but i ended up making the comic anyways.

"done and done!" they proclaim. Now they lean back annoyed "what now, though? ugh..." they wonder. they frolic back inside past the corpses of many aliens and grab their backpack.

The pub is named Wolf Pack Tavern, and there's a sign outside that reads 'chimaeras only, no fighting inside'. There's a dinging noise, as someone just entered the door. The next panel shows the busy interior full of drinking partygoers, with two in the middle in the focus: the bartender, who happens to be Adri, and a random girl are talking. The next panel shows a closeup of their interaction, with adri saying 'hey, why don't we continue this conversation after i'm off my shift?' and a smaller panel closeup of his fangs where he says 'i'll be out in a little while'. The next panel shows a bandaged hand tapping lightly on the girl's arm, and saying 'excuse me miss?' The next panel reveals this hand was David's, and he's now pointing to Adri and saying 'do you mind if i have a word with my boyfriend?' The last two panels show the girl reacting with aprehension, and slowly backing away.
