TWIN CITIES WARMING SITES As winter begins and temperatures in the Twin Cities decrease, we know that many members of our community are trying to come in from the cold. If you are in Hennepin or Ramsey county and in need of warmth and shelter, there are options for you. The QR code on the next slide will take you to TCMAP's warming site resource page. If you are a part of a business, church, or other organization in Hennepin county which you are interested in offering as a warming location, please email endhomelessness@hennepin.us.

This year, the 26th anniversary of Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) will fall on Thursday, Nov. 20. TDoR is a day where we remember those lost due to transphobic violence over the previous year. Several Twin Cities communities will be observing TDoR on various dates and times this week.

When they’re not volunteering with us, they like to read voraciously, work outdoors with plants, make art, hold space for deep emotions, and help empower others by providing knowledge and opportunities for reflection.

Identifying as two-spirit, for them, revolves not just around the colonizer-concepts of non-normative sexuality and gender identities, but also in what role they play for all the communities they belong to (in absence of knowledge of their specific tribal customs or traditions).
