@hamstall.bsky.social of interest…. Fairlight and Adrian Sutton, RIP
Am so sorry to have heard of the death of Composer Adrian Sutton. In Oct last year we had the loveliest geeky conversation on BBC Front Row about the role of computers and 80s synths in shaping his rich musical work. Listen from 28:09. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...
Parts of Handsworth have significant needs.

But with a bit more research, I've found that the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) ranks it overall at 4,466 out of 32,844 communities in England, the 14th percentile.
So 13% of English communities are more challenged.

@robertjenrickmp.bsky.social as a Minister was corrupt. I have no idea whether he benefitted personally, but by saving his mate a £45m tax bill, it’s funny how same mate made a healthy contribution to @conservatives.bsky.social party funds…

BoJo could have referred him for a standards review, but…
If @robertjenrickmp.bsky.social thinks that Handsworth is a slum, he needs to get out more.

As well as generally insulting people, this cosseted Tory has just shown us how sheltered, out of touch, and ignorant he is.

And if anywhere in the UK looks like a slum, how did 14yrs of Tory Govt help?

Alternative idea: put #jeremyclarkson out of his misery.

This is the man who required two emergency NHS interventions on his heart last year to keep him alive.

As for things being ‘banned’ they’re not as such. You can still buy your filthy fags, Jezza, but with some thought for others when fagging
We’re so pleased you no longer resemble DavCam.
Thank you. They have been there already?

I thought I should report in —a fresh (but not über young) generation introduced to the Tergenseer Tönchen, new Tergenseer Tönchen, and happily so.

The Archdeacon of London and Vicar of Margaret Street on a Diocesan ecumenical twinning jolly.

Thank you. Mine mysteriously came back on line an hour later.
I remember films like “A Bridge Too Far” on cinema release having a wee break, and it’s now considered a normal length film.

Though my personal record, which I don’t anticipate being eclipsed, is Kevin Brownlow’s restoration of Abel Gance’s 1927 3-film masterpiece, “Napoleon”, about 6hrs in all.
And at the pics there would have to be a wee break.
