True, but anyone can get away with that.

If a company that sells rugs can also evade taxes - that obviously isn't the factor.

The likely factor is technology - the root of industrialisation.

Everything has a balance.

At some point, when everyone is tired of the items that break quickly, demand for robust, durable, and functional items will be demanded. 👍

Unfortunately, people continue to run to the cheap and immediate rewards over the larger picture.
