@billmckibben.bsky.social This move towards not even mentioning climate change is moronic and dangerous. It's pretty bad when people in the climate movement (as reported by John Marshall at Climate Week) and decision makers like Reuben Gallego are questioning whether they should say the words.

@katharinehayhoe.com you always say "you can't solve a problem without talking about it". The movement away from even mentioning climate change is disturbing as hell. Potential Energy Coalition's postion, based on hard data, aligns with yours: we have to keep climate on the table to win the fight.

@volts.wtf You conversation with Reuben Gallego was well done, but I totally disagree with his shying away from saying the words "climate change". You were at Climate Week and I assume you heard John Marshall's remarks on what the marketing data shows us with regard to mentioning climate change and

@maddow.bsky.social Burn Order is outstanding! Everyone should listen. It’s an incredible history lesson.

On the Rob Reiner stabbing: wake up America! Trump is a heartless, self-important, criminal rat-bastard that doesn’t care about anyone other than himself. He and his kind are taking America and the world down a rathole and we need to stop him. Get informed and vote Democratic next year!!!!

The transition to electric vehicles is a critical component of the world's response to the climate change that the oil industry lied us into. Elektrek reports on the lies connected to EV demand:

EV sales *still* have not fallen, cooled, slowed or slumped. Media is lying to you.
After two years of headlines begging for failure, EV sales keep defying false media narratives that they are dropping, and continue to rise.

@maddow.bsky.social watching the WE THE PEOPLE special. The Brits just held a National Emergency Briefing on the climate crisis. They are scared for their security. We need a Briefing of our own and you are in a position to make it happen. CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A NATIONAL CLIMATE TOWN HALL?!!!

Lots of commentary about the Democrats having the wind their back. As a Democrat, I only hope that the party can put down the petty squabbles and do things right if we get the majorities we need to take power back from the corrupt GOP.

I saw a PBS piece that featured a young, conservative student that said he feared for his future. He was all about Trump. I would say that if you fear for your future, you are on the wrong team. Start supporting Democrats.

The Indiana legislature said “NO!”’to the rat bastard in the White House. Excellent!

@sarahlongwell25.bsky.social The lack of communication on the climate crisis is putting ua on a dangerous path. I've latched onto the finding of the Potential Energy Coalition as a means to turn things around. I'd love to know your opinion of John Marshall's remarks:

The U.S. automakers failed to properly educate consumers about EV’s. You can’t build a house on a shaky foundation. Now it’s up to Ionna and the non-profits like Plug-In America to make up for their sloppiness. The dealers need to understand that sticking to ICE cars is bad for the climate,

@chrislhayes.bsky.social Chris- the Brits held a National Emergency Briefing on the climate crisis. They are clearly worried about their national security. Why aren't you folks reporting on this? Are you scared of Trump? Majorities of folks ARE concerned about climate. Please do your job.

@whitehouse.senate.gov This connects directly to your floor speeches on the climate crisis. This kind of thing is just what we need before the next election:

@kenmartin.bsky.social The Brits held a National Emergency Briefing on the climate crisis. Why not us? The projections are horrific. When will the Democrats lead and fight back? The consultants don't know crap about climate and energy. The scientists do. www.forbes.com/sites/claire...

@theweekendmsnow.bsky.social in this past year, we’ve seen horrific events driven by climate change, with worse projected to come. The fossil fuel industry has basically taken over the government. Meanwhile, you in the media are silent. You have stopped even mentioning the climate crisis. Why?

I just watch a 60 Minutes piece on war crimes in Ukraine. Absolutely heartbreaking. And that coward in the White House, who has the power to stop it, refuses to take action.

I heard this week that Energy Secretary Chris Wright described climate change as a cost of building the modern world. I guess the people who get hurt or killed by climate change are just collateral damage. I've seen reptiles with warmer blood than Wright's. What a bastard.
