Day 14 of #artadventcalendar from last night! It’s a beginners #embroidery sampler to practice basic stitches and the first embroidery I’ve ever done. I really enjoyed it and have a new one to start today.

Day 11 of #artadventcalnedar This was my very first woven object. A small grey wool scarf made out of baby yarn. It’s very soft and warm. 2018. Rigid Heddle.

#ArtAdventCalendar #sashiko #embroidery The upper left is a traditional pattern, the rest are based on outlines of real leaves found in my neighborhood. All waiting to be incorporated into something else. Sashiko is very relaxing, especially if you do freestyle shapes. Day 9.

Day 8 of #artadventcalendar soft pastels. I’m overdue to get back to making things in paper… meh. Early 2020s.
I’m not sure how to describe this. It’s basically a cropped photo of a midsection and thighs that has been stylised with ink and pink pastels to resemble rolling hills.

How about some pottery today? I love this little cup… the cat was created with layers of slip to build up the form. I’d like to try this technique again but with a slip made of the same clay as the cup, that should prevent the crack that happened during firing.

A sustainable laser cut wooden statement necklace by Loadofolbobbins showing an illustration of a goldfinch perching on a branch of cherry blossom. The blossom stands proud of the main branch, adding a 3D effect, and the necklace is attached to an antique bronze cable chain. The small, cute goldfinch has a bright red face, white underbelly and different shades of brown across it's side and back that lead to a vibrant yellow patch on it's wing which is bordered by black. The illustrations is done is outlined in black and has a thin natural wood border. It is done in a slightly simplified drawing style.

Day 7 of #artadventcalendar. One of my favourite photos of my favourite comfy make. This green #crochet jumper has fallen apart but it was the snuggliest, warmest, fluffiest merino jumper to ever exist. Modelled by my little human who wants doing the best Kate Bush dance impression ever.

I’m not much of a beader but I made this little leather and carnelian bead bracelet and wore it until it fell apart. I really should make a new one.

My #fastenoffyarnong goes well. Simpler Sinister Sweater #knit with hand dyed yarn for the pink and yellow (held double) and a commercial teal yarn.
The top yoke of a sweater still on the needles. The ribbed collar is in a dark teal, the main yoke is vibrant pink and yellow hand dyed yarn, and there’s the silhouette of cats added in teal at the bottom of the yoke. The remainder of the jumper will be in the teal.
