Ougrée (Seraing). Un ancien centre urbain autrefois animé par les hauts fourneaux et une rue centrale pleine de commerces et cafés, aujourd'hui entre abandon, démolition et tentatives de réaffectation... La rue principale quasiment totalement abandonnée est un spectacle navrant.

Passage à l'église royale Sainte-Marie (1844-1857 puis 1867-1888, arch. Louis Van Overstraeten), sans doute le chef-d'œuvre de l'éclectisme des années 1840 à Bruxelles.

Saint-Albert à Schaerbeek, 1928-1929. Vraiment une excellente réalisation de l'architecte etterbeekois Edmond Serneels (1875-1934). Néogothique très lumineux grâce aux hautes arcades des collatéraux et les larges fenêtres hautes de la nef, formant de belles relations entre voûtes.

Hôtel Campioni, architecte Georges Dhaeyer, 1890. Remarquable maison néogothique et néo-renaissance, que j'ai eu l'occasion de guider ce samedi de 10h à 17h00 dans le cadre du festival Ante organisé par Explore Brussels.

Holy Trinity Church, Bruxelles, architecte William Barber, 1883 puis Huvenne & Jasinski, 1897. Intéressant exemple de néogothique anglican à Bruxelles, avec soubassement interieur en marbres polychromes et belle charpente lambrissée.

L'église Saint-Augustin (1860-1871), architecte Victor Baltard, Paris. Un chef-d'œuvre d'architecture religieuse Second Empire, qui aurait bien besoin d'une restauration intérieure. Structure en fonte associée à la maçonnerie.

Journées du patrimoine à Bruxelles. L'église de la Sainte-Famille d'Helmet (Schaerbeek). Vues intérieures de la nef néogothique-Art Déco (1936), défigurée par un faux-plafond en 1984. Vivement une restauration pour retrouver les proportions originelles...

Journées du patrimoine à Bruxelles. L'église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul de Neder-over-Hembeek, architecte Julien de Ridder, 1936. Art déco régionaliste ni franchement raté ni franchement réussi, le bâtiment contient quelques éléments intéressants comme ses bas-côtés étroits avec vitraux figuratifs.

Yes we did and yes, there is ! Very nice too. We even had to register our names before entering, it was ridiculous, and the architects were not allowed to tell us anything about the project so yeah... Astoria nr 2 incoming I guess

Pretty sure that the original "livre d'or " has already been sold behind the scenes. My guess is 3-4 rooms on the ground floor will be preserved and the rest demolished, Astoria style. When we visited it in 23 with icomos we were strictly forbidden to take pictures of the interiors. Very suspicious

Not clear if it's an original guitry or a reproduction. But it's pretty clear that the new owners do not give a **** about the hotel history. Pretty sure most of the interiors will be demolished too.

Journées du Patrimoine. L'intéressante église Saint-Laurent de Mardigny (Moselle) avec son clocher et narthex roman, transformé en sacristie au XIXe lors de l'inversion du plan de l'église par construction d'une nef à l'Est. Le clocher penche de façon alarmante...

Journées du Patrimoine. Le très intéressant château de Clémery (Meurthe-et-Moselle), reconstruit aux XVIIIe et XIXe sur des bases médiévales, avec une remarquable façade sur parc de style Second Empire (1861-1864).

Grand moment d'émotion de rencontrer Agnes Obel et lui parler de toute mon admiration pour sa musique, dont ses nouvelles chansons entendues en concert à Paris le 15 et le 16 septembre. Concert remarquable au Cirque Royal ensuite ! Merci 💙
