Hehe, keep cool. Funnilly enough I googled that picture/scene two days ago as reference material 😅
thomasdjensen.bsky.social
Thank you very much, it’s much appreciated! 😊🙏 Love your work!
Hehe, I can understand the associations, they are tough to ignore once made. For me it’s such a hard choice, and I would love to have them all in my garage (and the garage wouldn’t even have to be that large! Bonus!)

Four British classic cars 🇬🇧 While I’m bogged down illustrating for a book, here’s another little repost of car illustrations. Which is your favorite?

I’ve been wanting to revisit Back to the Future for a while. Finishing up on the illustration I then find out it’s Michael J. Fox’s birthday today. It was meant to be, apparently. I hope you enjoy! Oh, and Happy Birthday “Marty”!

Thank you very much 😊🙏, and it was indeed called the El Car.

Even the most renowned grey cells deserve a holiday. And what could be more fitting than a tranquil cruise along the Nile?

Every dog wants a bone.

Just a silly little doodle. The super dog Krypto just found a treasure…

Electric dreams! Been a while since I drew a “Car of the Day”, so here’s an electric one…from 1974. Zagato, an Italian design and coach building company, produced the Zele, a microcar between 1974 and 1976. It wasn’t exactly known for it’s blistering speed, maxing out at around 50 kph / 30 mph.

It’s International Penguin Day (no, seriously it is!) So meet Patrick Penguin – a side character in a “solve-it-yourself-mystery-book” from a Kickstarter project I’ve been working on lately. More information this summer.

Quick Holmes and Watson concept characters for a potential future comic series. Not set in stone.
Would you rather read new stories, or the classic ones? #sherlockholmes

Yeah it’s a game that seemed to be created with great warmth and humour. Glad I gave you a trip down memory lane!

That’s great! I never tried or heard of Discworld Noir, thanks, I’ll look it up!

The Secret of Monkey Island (1990) – one of the best games ever made! Did you ever play it?
I had to do a little ligne claire homage of this funny and slightly crazy game.
My personal favorites among the many versions are the pixel version from 1990 and the followup – LeChuck’s Revenge from 1991.
Ligne claire illustration homage of The Monkey Island characters, Guybrush Threepwood and the lookout.

2. Many are fascinated by AI “art”, but as the internet gets saturated by it, it’ll look cheap and disposable.

I fear that even the real work of great artists like Miyazaki will get tarnished by AI, and end up looking cheap and disposable.

1. Chat GPT’s “Ghibli” feature reminds me of the story of plastic:

When plastic became available in the 50s and 60s, everybody loved it. It was stylish, modern – furniture, kitchenware, fashion. We all know how that ended: It’s now seen as cheap and disposable...

A little Black Adder homage a la ligne claire. Even though the first season was arguably the weakest, it’s nevertheless the right place to start. Maybe I’ll get back to the later seasons at some point.

Which season was your favorite?

I was reminded of the great jumping scene from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off through Lewis Hamiltons homage video. Thought I’d do my own homage of the film scene.

Meet Jerkbert Duckson. He is not happy.

Back when he was a hatchling, ducks didn’t simp to self-proclaimed alphas and wannabe fascists – they fought them.

By all means share, if you sympathise with Jerkbert.

Young Hercule: Death Woven in Lace. Another “what if” comic album cover.

Do these deserve a series? 🤔😅
