Im clearly just a poor because I see people with $80-$100+ coffee grinders and I just wonder what the hell is wrong with the $15 grinder I got at either Ikea or from Amazon xx years ago that has never had a single issue. I dont even know the brand name. It just grinds.
This is the correct take. For me it wasn't noise, it was just prone to jamming up being overly fussy. I got an Oxo grinder a couple of years ago and I've not had a moment's regret. bsky.app/profile/laur...
can i just say since i'm seeing the baratza encore still getting recommended on a lot of coffee cyber monday sale lists: i hated my baratza encore. i learned to despise that machine, perhaps beyond rationality. maybe it's fine for most people. but i'm getting mad just sitting here thinking about it
