Sure. I'll send you a PM. Not all of Bluesky needs to know my kid's details.
Specifically I talked to language and cultural consultants to Cartel and Pasion de la Pasiones, and a creator who was also a playtester for Avatar and Masks, among others.
Hey I usually don't teaser upcoming episodes much because I rather want to get things done, but after a three month break - I finally got Episode 23 ready and I'm now proofing it. I interviewed people who worked on a bunch of games in this Humble Bundle: www.humblebundle.com/books/magpie...

I recently talked to a guy about finding a weird little fact in Turkish (he: native speaker, me: B2) so he went on to look via ChatGPT and I used Google with AI turned off. I actually found the stuff in 1 minute, then gave him a lecture on when he next uses ChatGPT it will make his work superfluous.
Well, most Germans don't like Trump and Vance, so they would probably just say rude things about him and he couldn't even understand it.
probably for a different age bracket
"But I don't want drunk dudes" 😂
My kid recently showed interest in "wizard school books" so I am getting The Worst Witch. If my kid wants to read HP by themselves when they are older, we'll go to the library.
I hope I can manage a France episode in 2026, but I still have massive material to edit for this year...
There were more than 20 original French RPGs, I could hardly write down all the unique systems. The shop had like 40-50 different systems. Also it was overwhelming because I had an injured foot... 😭
For context: There is a very convoluted backstory to this, which would take ages to retell. It's connected to an RPG campaign in the 1990s that weirdly escalated. The picture was actually taken around 1997.
Picture Monday: only three or four people on this planet will understand this.
my 2nd last text is boring, but my last one... "Edda is jealous of the crown"
Don't get me started, I literally live in Asia and there's no decent curry or noodles place within miles. Most locals here would pass as "white" in the US. It's almost as if this was a huge continent with vastly diverging cultures.
"IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to tariffs and global shipping chaos, this campaign will only ship physical books to the USA" 😭
Well, the obvious challenge is that I can't DM you...
More substantively: I didn't visit a game shop in Paris, but I had been at a conference in Bordeaux before and did go to two (!) game shops there. It was overwhelming, and there's a reason I haven't done a France episode (yet).
My Canadian ancestors were never Brits. 😉
Since it's obligatory these days, here's a picture I took in July 2023. It's titled "reconnoitre", to use a French term.
Canadians weren't invited in 1814 either.
I finally sent a mail to the comic shop in my far-away hometown (Comix in Hannover) to set up a subscription for me and order the shit out of this, and they just confirmed it 😍
Schon, aber USA ist ja schon immer privilegiertere Migranten (sag ich als Sohn eines weißen US-amerikanischen Zugezogenen)
