Over the past month I have been writing and creating a world. Currently the spotlight and where I find my writings focused is on a city called Coron. A forgotten past, a fall, a rise, and now it finds itself at a point where the old voices give way to new.

Soulfood follows Trais, a woman who runs a city-funded kitchen but is starting to feel the weight of the world.

Legacy follows Calg Laweln, Eighth Dean of the Coron House of Knowledge, who realises time is running out and that his name means nothing to those who hear it.

I feel a little giddy. Like, not only can I write a whole world to play #Daggerheart in but I can also write short stories *in* that world too?! Like, I can just do that?! And like, no one's going to- no one's gonna- no? I can just write!?

So, I have two stories in the works: Soulfood, and Legacy.

Unease I was feeling with my Patreon just being this place that had an ill-informed shaped and almost felt like it was slipping through my fingers. Not only do I want to open Coron to others, but I want to tell stories within it too.

And so I will. Keep tuned, stay posted. This is going to be fun!

In the short time I've been #GMing and running #Daggerheart I have realised that I can combine my love of design and my love of writing into something that can become so much more for people. So I think that's what I'm going to do. Seeing others making worlds like I am suddenly settled this (cont'd)

When I set up my originally set up my Patreon I had this idea that it would be a place for me to explore writing and it be supported in some way. But I realised now it is becoming a place for people to help me develop Coron, this city that has been alone for centuries, and I'm ok with that (cont'd)

The current story I am writing is something so wholly different to what I'm used to. This story doesn't deal with my usual themes of transformation, magic & spells. Its a very human story and comes from a place that I've been a little too used to of late.

And that is roll credits on Hades 2... and, wow... I thoroughly enjoyed it. My head was filled with it, and the characters within. If anything that game has really helped me fall back in love with the rituals and the little things that give life its spirit and mysticism. Room for more Coron now!

The more I develop Coron and get to grips with #Daggerheart, the more people tell me how much they love the setting and want to play it. I am quickly reaching a point where I am considering doing something concerted to turn Coron into a place people can leave their mark on

Busy day today! 2 visits from lovely darlings, 1 of which is their first time! Turn my stories into docs and upload to AO3. Figure out pricing for audio comms, incl. scripts, stories, even files. Plan a 3rd Daggerheart Session Zero. Write more short story set in my Daggerheart world!

Correction: I like being a GM.

Being a GM used to be scare me a little. So many moving parts and crunchiness. #Daggerheart has given me a space that allows my storytelling and my game design to flourish by inviting my players in to tell that story with me.

I am so excited to continue.
