I think it's impossible to overstate how devastating a loss Tess Daly will be for #Strictly

Claudia Winkleman is an astonishing talent, but, like with Brucie, you can replace the "showy" presenter

But Tess Daly is the glue. She's at once a safe pair of hands, and halfway invisible. A unique vibe.

By any serious-minded analysis, the tactical, playing it safe route would've been to vote Labour as usual

But people are pissed off! Some of them will turn to fascism and some of them will turn to socialism but surely it's obvious that nobody likes this right wing Labour Party

Astonishingly unserious for a journalist to suggest that the party that's held a constituency for over a CENTURY lost it because people TACTICALLY chose a completely different party to be the anti-Reform vote, instead of simply sticking with what they had

Maybe... people want something more left?

Indeed - is there a more suitable word here? I feel like it's still transphobia when people get annoyed about drag queens, because it's the same sense of fear around gender

Absolutely wild to me that people actually dress up in silly outfits for halloween

That's so much EFFORT

I didn't believe it was actually a thing, but last year I was in London on halloween and I saw it for myself. So many people dressed up. Where do they get the money? The time? The inclination??

I think Strictly has to tread the line between camp and embarrassing. I can see how they would get to something like this. But what they forget is that the route to embarrassment is Corporate things - so Minecraft Movie, Mufasa etc are that.

I propose a spinoff of #TheTraitors where there's no cash prize and all the contestants are experts in game theory so we can see the game played properly

There's so much potential in this show but the players are just a bit too... reality TV

US #Traitors casts sneaky & backstabbing celebrities to amp up drama. UK celeb version already feels smart for the opposite instinct: national treasures, Olympians and overall sound types. Their liking for each other makes the game more challenging and the programme funnier & warmer. Great first ep.

Truthfully I can never tell when RTD is telling the truth about insisting on things like this and when he's trying to hype up decisions beyond his control (eg midnight releases). But in any case, if the BBC decides it should be autumn next time round, I assume it would be so.

Imagine how much better it would be if The Robot Revolution had aired tonight, instead of in high summer
