Every post makes me even more hyped for more Ozy and Milo!

I like just walking around and browsing the local Barnes & Noble in my off time, and I've noticed that, and I don't know if this is nostalgia talking or what, the books intended for younger readers feel more enticing and creative than those intended more for my age bracket.

Yes, more, more fox children!

I make no claim to being the most faithful and pious Catholic out there, far from it, but Right-Wing Evangelicals are legitimately some of the most heretical and blasphemous denominations there are.

A new Inquisition solely for these people.

I'm no expert in Senate procedure, but I am 100% sure that the ACA would have violated the Byrd Rule for reconciliation bills, much less any attempt to pass Medicare for All or even a Public Option

People in the comments here seem to not understand that the super-majority the Democratic party had for 40 days was made up of people that would make Joe Manchin seems like a genuine liberal. How progressive do you think a politician in 2008 from Arkansas, West Virginia, or Montana is going to be?

I remember seeing the trailer clips before it released and it seemed to promise something more with the "female psycho-warrior", but it just wound up being a no girls allowed gag. There are elements that are funny and even appear well thought out, but there is always something makes me side-eye it.

My mind will never not be blown by the fact that a Japanese envoy on the way to Rome stopped over in Mexico city in the early 1600s.

Yeah, it really seems to come through in their mid-episode commercials for their merch. Like, it's one thing when it's apart of the show and characters and you're meant to laugh at the absurdity, but still running with it during a merch ad with real people feels really weird.

That's really the big reason why, as much as I want to like the absurdity of Space King, I can't really enjoy it like I do other media. It's mostly their mid-episode commercials that they do that really turn me off. Was it really necessary to shit on other successful indie series?

Ah, another Slavic illustrator for me to obsess over!

I've said it before, but I don't care if the Democrat in question is a 10,000 year old corpse in a golden throne. All I care about is fighting and beating the Republicans.

Well, the idea of owning shares in an enterprise is pretty much as old as civilization. Joint-stock companies began to emerge in 12th century Europe, and particularly with things like merchant ships and whaling, entire communities would finance construction and operations for returns.

Maybe this is me still having negative feelings about the label "Capitalism" but to me it seems that Capitalism really isn't a thing that has any definitive beginning. From what I know, pretty much all the mechanisms of modern Capitalism have existed in one form or other for centuries, or millenia.

Counter-point: The 250-pound deer is cute, and I love them. Criminally underrated as far as animals go.

I mean, in the interests of beating as many Republicans as possible, I don't care if the Democrat in question is a 10,000 year old corpse on a golden throne. If she wins the primary, fine. If she loses the primary, also fine. Just so long as the Republican is sent packing.

The people who are pro-Trans rights are far, far more than 1% percent of the population, and an overwhelming super-majority of democrats are pro-Trans rights to some degree.
thestarhart.bsky.social
That involves whatever hypothetical future administration that has been empowered by voters to do, not the present reality where the Democratic party was explicitly disempowered by the voters.

The Democrats need to be given that power in the first place in order for them to act.
thestarhart.bsky.social
It is also helpful to know how the government is (ideally) supposed to run and what powers that the Democrats as minority party are and are not capable of doing.
thestarhart.bsky.social
It is absolutely a problem for people who have principles. And the solution to centrist Democrats is to primary them with progressive and socialist candidates and win.
thestarhart.bsky.social
You're definitely a "fiscal conservative". No evidence yet on the "liberal" part.
thestarhart.bsky.social
Yeah, Republicans and conservatives are bad. Why are you talking like one?

Oh yeah, the richest god damn country in the world can't afford a global vaccination program, sure.
