This final clip is how far I got with the project at the time. I ended up abandoning pretty much all of this since I felt it was too derivative of past projects. And it was exhausting animating in GMod *and* After Effects.

Seeing all this again reminds me to never give up on animation. I can do it.

I'm currently busy writing Exit's first video for the new channel, which delves more into why the reveal of Spooky is stronger in the original Pac-Man World 2 than in the remake. I'm finding it a fun little topic (and hyperfixation) to write about!

Christina and I started playing the Pac-Man World 2 remake, and the new opening scene was... not a good first impression. It may have more bells and whistles, but compared to the OG, the execution is just plain mediocre.

Just the reveal of the main villain, Spooky, is like night and day:

I just heard something that's hit me hard. I'm paraphrasing, but it was basically that in the entertainment industry, you can't be a people pleaser.

That's been one of my biggest weaknesses throughout my creative life, and was the death knell for my first YT channel, when I think about it.

Character acting is a skill she has that I admire. And in the case of this 2nd animatic, she challenged herself to have a character express themselves clearly and strongly using nothing but a single eye. Have a *look* 👁️

Sorry I haven't been posting art stuff lately. Trying to start up my channel has been a bit overwhelming and I've been losing focus as a result.

I'm going to try doing reeeeally small bits of animation as tests before going for something a little bigger. At least then I'll be able to finish things.

There was so much kid death then I was expecting too, I loved it! All in all, probably my favorite V/H/S movie right now! Fun Size is probably tied with Live and Let Dive from last year’s #VHSBeyond. I can’t wait to see what they come up with for next year!

Me and Sam just finished watching #VHSHalloween and, wow, was it good! All of the segments were amazing in their own way, my favorite probably a tie between Fun Size and Home Haunt. And Kid Print was probably the most disturbing segment out of anything from the franchise.
