Acts from SCOTUS like this, with no care given, truly erode faith in the entire system. Why bother having lower courts when they are overruled basically just because?

The reason the judiciary functions is because judges understand that despite everyone being human beings who hold grudges and have stupid opinions and peccadilloes and flaws, there is a sense that you have to justify what you're doing on more than "because I say so."

If not for blowing up several boats that may or may not have been transporting drugs (in violation of international law) basically the ENTIRETY of the US’ 350 million people were saved!!

If this were to happen, I’d lean toward choosing my German citizenship, despite never having lived there. That said, I can’t imagine this passing, but I’ve said that before.
Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, just introduced a bill to ban Americans from holding dual citizenship. The bill says that to “preserve the integrity of national citizenship, allegiance to the United States must be undivided.” It’s called the Exclusive Citizenship Act.
