The fact that people don't realize AI is already being used for erotic chatting is kind of hilarious.

Exactly. It's a flaw in a lot of horror movies these days, I think; even when they're trying for 'mysterious happenings' they're too pushy with the 'facts' instead of letting us think about it and try and figure out what's going on.

This series is weirdly controversial. Not sure why; maybe just because found footage occupies a strange space in horror?

I loved it, personally. Good scares, good camera work, and didn't insult the intelligence of the viewer by spelling everything out.
