Not me hyperfixated on this now...I love/hate my brain and the way I decide one day just to make things.

Which one feels most true for your studies?

1. I want things to feel easier, aka waaay less pressure

2. I want small, doable practice aka things I can actually show up for

3. I'm not sure where to start

4. I can't really tell anything is "working"

5. Something else (tell me in the comments!)
I'm checking in with all my language learning people, to see what you need most right now~

It would be super helpful if you can comment on this post!

My practice has changed over the years!

I've gone from speaking Japanese almost every day, to rarely speaking it unless I'm really proactive with using it.

And that's why I decided to pull out a strategy that I used to use years ago and refine it.

And now I'm sharing it with all of you!
This is literally what I had to remind myself!

Because my speaking skills and languages like Japanese, for example, have gone down..why?
You have to actively practice recalling the information AKA pulling it back out of your brain to use it.

So if you want to improve your speaking, at some point you have to speak, make sentences, use the words you already have WHILE you learn new ones.

Whether it's solo or with another person.
When you try to speak in other languages that you've been studying, but the words just don't come to mind, the problem usually isn't vocabulary, it's recall.

(And sentence building skills 😅)

So, how do YOU say 'unfortunately' in Spanish? I wanna see something 😅
Me whenever possible >> write down definitions IN the language I'm focused on rather than in English.

(Or even in other languages I know if I don't feel ready yet)

This helps me to translate less in my head
Literally, though, I'm wondering how helpful it might be to host some quiet accountability calls. Like, no video, no mic, just light music and a timer with me during the week

Also gives me an excuse to boot up Spirit City 😁
Getting the final touches ready for my pop up group. Scheduled some posts. Still need to make the fun badge I want to give out to people who finish the Action Week.

Just have to send an email to everyone that has either or both of my motivation and confidence workshops.
