Friday news. I have launched a wee charity gift shop in aid of sight-loss charity RNIB. All designs feature my abstract photos. Times are tough right now so no pressure to buy, obviously. But I would love it if you could share. I’m doing this to raise awareness too. tinyurl.com/3wu5t9wy

Our Pastelism 1, 2, 3 tote is on Monorail's Christmas list. It's in red so could almost serve as a superior modern day stocking which you could fill up with other stuff from the list. Thanks! monorailmusic.com/shop/?_sft_l... @monorailmusic.bsky.social

So great to hear Hairband on @gidcoe.bsky.social last night. They're probably my favourite Glasgow band of the last decade. Their debut album is finally coming out on vinyl. I wrote about them for @monorailmusic.bsky.social here... monorailmusic.com/product/unde... www.youtube.com/watch?v=qP9I...

We’re very proud to have been chosen as the main retail partner for 3 stellar Edwyn Collins reissues, Hellbent On Compromise, I’m Not Following You and Doctor Syntax. There's also an Edwyn designed Postcard poster and plenty OJ.

We all know the BBC isn't perfect but if Trump, Boris Johnson and The Telegraph are going after it you can be sure it's still getting in the way of the world that they want. At least the BBC is accountable - when were Trump or Johnson or The Telegraph accountable for anything?

Masterpiece, I think i've played my 45 a million times. The film is beautiful too - early work by Olivier Assayas.

I was really happy to write some words about the legendary Hairband. Their only LP, Under The Plow, is about to come out on vinyl for the first time and @monorailmusic.bsky.social has made it part of the Glasgow School series. They're so good, check them out. monorailmusic.com/product/unde...

I'm saddened to learn of the passing of Dr Elspeth King, the legendary curator of the People's Palace, and a fierce advocate for Glasgow and its history.

This was fascinating on the release of the film adaptation of Alasdair Gray's "Poor Things".

Treasured moments. One of the best things I've heard all year is Pictureframes with Caio, Molly Linen and Dan from Snails. No records yet but I've dug deep and turned up a couple of copies of Molly's stellar 10" eps. SP monorailmusic.com/shop/?_sf_s=... pictureframes2.bandcamp.com/album/event-...

Could we please stop pretending that the flags being hung from streetlamps or painted on roundabouts are innocent expressions of patriotic pride? This is the far right marking out its territory. It uses these flags to intimidate its traditional victims and opponents. 🧵1/3
