Yokihi Kannon, Sennyuji Temple, Kyoto. I was lucky to see this statue of the Bodhisattva of Compassion earlier this year. Brought in the 13th century from China to Japan, it was later named after the legendary Chinese beauty Yang Guifei. The image is from a postcard sold at the temple.
