I’m still not entirely sure that they understand that they were rebelling against Parliament and not fighting a Second Civil War; or maybe their cartoon history books passed the Glorious Revolution by.

One thing I love about this time of year is driving around and seeing the apple trees on the verge that have grown from discarded cores tossed from cars.
And one thing I hate is the juiciest-looking ones are by busy roads or dual carriageways where you can’t stop to pick them.

I went through something like this in West London for the scuffers when I was at university.
