Apparently it was all a terrible misunderstanding. They’d answered an advert offering £5 to anyone who’d move a piano from one room to another….

This is the 5th year that I’ve witnessed the return of winter finch & bunting flocks to @bibbeyswildfarms.bsky.social - it gets more and more exciting!

Nature Friendly Farming on this urban fringe has served thousands and thousands of birds in that time!

Time to roll it out around Brum! 🚜
Just to clarify, was it two of the kangaroos having fisticuffs or did one of your visitors spend a bit too much time in the bar and decide to chance their arm with Skippy? 🍺+🦘+🥊=🚑

Just popping out to LIDL, or 50-1-500-50 as the Romans called it.
Dr: “And how can I help you today?”

Patient: “Well, Doctor, I keep getting a sharp pain behind the eyes”
Sadly, with so little known about the monster’s ecology it’s not even clear what it eats. The historically low water levels at present must be making feeding difficult. It may be wise to be extra vigilant if visiting the nearby cafes in case it has a taste for bacon sarnies or (veggie alternatives)

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

Minor operation today. All fine but a general anaesthetic.

How anyone can tut at NHS staff, how anyone can link it negatively with migration things, how anyone can fail to see that it’s the best thing about this place and that they are the best of us. These people are morons. Literally morons.

Just watched a Peregrine chase a flock of Pink-footed Geese and then take one down! Seem to to remember reading about previous records of hunting geese (Barnacle?) in the Derek Ratcliffe book but never witnessed it! 🤯

An important Cuckoo host species, the Meadow Pipit is often overlooked but has huge character and claw!

Their “parachute” display is a delight to watch!

They are declining; Amber-listed and on the global IUCN “near threatened” list

Great to see 130+ @bibbeyswildfarms.bsky.social today 😎
