I have been told they're Ghost level. I don't taste citrus on these but the flavor is lighter/brighter than the reds and browns.

Most of my plants took a beating with the cold but it looks like all of them will survive. Here's my gold GhostBird which didn't miss a step even after going through a night of 32°f unprotected. 🌶️

Thanks, not much we can do. Wrapping a few orchids and watering everything. Loping for the best.

Well the weather is going to drop into the low 30s this weekend so I may be saying goodbye to a lot of our tropicals. It's going
Down to 32f. If it stays for six or more hours at that temperature I can kiss the majority of our tropical plants goodbye.
We haven't had it this cold since 2009. 🌴

I finished dehydrating another batch of peppers last night and turned the kitchen into a toxic cloud of pepper dust grinding them up into powder. I was coughing and sneezing for hours... 🌶️ 🌱

Just an old Cuisinart mini-prep. I hit it with grind then chop and it seems to do pretty well.

I finally finished dehydrating these peppers today. I started last Saturday. Some of the thick walled baccatum crosses took forever to dry. The dark ones I smoked with apple wood before dehydrating. Next they go into the grinder tomorrow. 🌶️ 🌱

They bring in bee hives at flowering time to promote cross pollination.

In the Coleus example they grow from seed every year selecting the best 100 or so varieties from several thousand. They reproduce the plants asexually (micro-propagation) for each year's crop.
They then collect seed at the end of the season for the next year's crop.
