It’ll come back. But it takes time. Your brain needs boredom. Unfortunately most creative people don’t have the luxury of just resting - this is our livelihood. Best advice I can give is to try to shift to something different for a while. Management, teaching, consulting, production, pipeline dev

After I shipped The Last of Us 2 it took a few years before I could find joy in level design again. The thought of doing level layout made me feel ill. I felt broken. Fortunately I was able to shift my work to technical design and tools for a while. Eventually it came back.

I was pretty disappointed in that episode. Esp for a show that often stands out and does things differently, it felt like a cowardly reversal. Also Chili’s sister was magically pregnant at the end, upending that great episode about coming to terms with her infertility.

Just rolled the credits in Silksong! After 51 hours. I still have lots to do though. Maybe after a break I’ll get back to it.

Tonight on a NY1 interview, Andrew Cuomo described Zohran Mamdani as "an existential threat" to New Yorkers and the Democratic Party. I can't say strongly enough that this is despicable, dangerous, irresponsible language. I've never held Cuomo in high esteem; let this election be his banishment.
