At Nasiriyah Prison, Iraqi authorities are implementing the “I’tidal” programme to rehabilitate inmates once affiliated with Daesh. Through intellectual and professional workshops, the programme supports the rejection of extremism to ensure prisoners, once released, contribute to communities.
In a speech at the 80th UN General Assembly, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid noted the importance of reintegrating and repatriating residents of al-Hol camp, drawing attention to Iraq and the Coalition's efforts to sustainably reintegrate returnees. #AJourneyHome
