November 4th, 2003 (22 years ago today) was the release of ‘True Crime: Streets of LA’ on Xbox, PS2 & GameCube in North America. This open world crime game featured a 240 square mile map modeled accurately after a large portion of Los Angeles. It sold over 3 million copies and spawned a sequel.

‘Dragon Age: Origins’ released on this day 16 years ago (11/3/09) in North America. The first title in this 3rd-person RPG series from BioWare is described as a “dark heroic fantasy” by the dev. It sold over 3.2 million copies, over a million DLCs & spawned 3 sequels.
21 years ago today (11/2/04), ‘Killzone’ released on PS2 in North America. This 1st-person shooter marked the first partnership between Sony & Guerrilla Games, which would lead to a purchase in 2005. The game shipped almost 2 million copies & was remastered on PS3 with the Killzone Trilogy.
Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition brings quarter-munching chaos to PS5, capturing the neon speed and arcade thrill right from your living room. It nails the nostalgic fun, even if the short track list leaves you wanting more.
Capcom just opened pre-orders for Resident Evil: Requiem, coming Feb. 27, 2026, to PC and Consoles! Hosted by Maggie Robertson, the “Road to Requiem” showcase dives into the series’ dark history and teases what’s next.

20 years ago today (11/1/05), ‘Star Wars Battlefront II’ released on Xbox, PS2, PSP & PC in North America. This sequel included new vehicles, characters, mechanics, maps, missions & a narrative-based campaign. It sold over 6 million copies & was ported to modern consoles in 2024.

‘Brave Fencer Musashi’ released on PlayStation 27 years ago today (10/31/98). Originally released in Japan in July the same year, this action platformer was developed & published by Square. It was also repackaged in November to include a demo for ‘Final Fantasy VIII’.
‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3’ released on the PlayStation & PS2 on this date 24 years ago (10/30/01). The 3rd game in the popular series sold over 2.1 million copies & is tied with ‘Grand Theft Auto III’ for the highest-rated PS2 game on Metacritic. A remake with THPS4 released in July of 2025.

17 years ago today (10/28/08), ‘Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3’ released on PC in the US/Europe. This RTS boasted FMV sequences starring the likes of Tim Curry, J.K. Simmons & George Takei as the leaders of 3 fighting factions. It was soon ported to Xbox 360 & PS3.

27 years ago today (10/27/98), ‘F-Zero X’ released on the Nintendo 64 in North America. This racing game was the 1st sequel to the original game from 1990 & was also the 1st in the series to have 3D graphics. It also introduced the ability to attack other racers & sold over 500,000 copies.
