I'm glad I accidentally stumbled on your profile, Curtis. The article on the importance of having a buy-in from your family members really resonated. I don't have kids yet but already found your content very helpful, looking forward to seeing more. New follower here! 😁

Putting this here in case you want to know more about this Porsche ride and the unexpected lesson in financial freedom it gave me: thefillennial.com/05...

When studying, a €150 speeding ticket would've wrecked my month.

My ex's uncle in his Porsche going 160 km/h? He casually said "A fine doesn't matter."

That's when I realized: financial freedom isn't the car. It's less worries.
When did you realize money buys peace of mind, not just stuff?

Really liked this blogpost, and I think your "discomfort is not danger" says all there needs to be said about downturns on the stock market! New follower here, looking forward to seeing more 😁

Didn't have the time to watch it in full, but the first 15-20 mins of this were great! Differences between the reward systems of school environments and real life are absolutely not the same, great way of showing how this becomes clear in your finances. New follower here, keep it going! 😁

Absolutely agree, Choach! Question: Based on your long experience, what have been the most frequently observed beliefs that limit achieving financial freedom?

And that's why long-term thinking wins!

Anytime! Let me know when you've made your own feed, super interested in the result 😁

I've used @graze.social to create a custom feed called GoldSky, which is what I use to find the personal finance content I'm personally looking for. It's actually how I found you as well haha! The tooling easy to operate and very intuitive, would recommend!

Hey VW, this is my take: Interaction with others over content pushing. Genuine replies over chasing followers and likes.

Use feeds to find the content and creators you want to interact with. No suitable feed found? Just build your own, there are easy tools available for that.

Good luck!

Hey Cap, this was a great read! Elaborate, and not just focused on generic advice but also the psychological side of investing. You mention DCA as your primary means to combat volatility emotions, are there any other things you do to emotionally protect yourself? New follower here, by the way! 😁

Great article and great intentions there, Madhav! Since I'm living in Europe and the American Credit Card system is one I'm not too familiar with, I found this article actually very educative.

Looking out for next ones in this series, new follower here! 😁

Because I had been writing a blogpost about it not too long ago, I recently started a new campaign in my favorite video game of all time: Fable II. And yes, the timeless investing lessons I got from it still hold up!
3. How an Xbox Game Taught Me The Principles of Investing, Passive Income, and Financial Freedom - The Fillennial
Fable II taught me investing lessons long before real life did: buy assets, let money work for you, and build the freedom to play on your terms.

Hi Gauri, looks like your purpose is very similar to that of my blog. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!!

Hey Hammad, absolutely agree on this! Most of the work is usually done when no one is watching. What kind of preparation has worked in your own life?

I usually try to stay away from explicitly pushing my content in someone's face and rather let the content speak for itself. But given your current fixation I think with you might actually like it, Brandon! No pressure, so feel free to take a look if you want 😁 thefillennial.com

Absolutely agree there, Scott! The compounding principle can be found everywhere once you start looking for it. Can you tell me when you fully saw it happening for the first time?

Hey Sharon, loved this article! Absolutely agree that soft skills and personality will outlast hard skills any day. I walked a similar path, but also find myself a financial/career outlier compared to most graduate friends. How has that been for you?

Great one as always, one Taalmod quote a day keeps investment anxiety at bay!

Great one Michael! Question: As a CFP, what according to your experience helps people remaining focused on the things they actually can control?

I'm genuinely amazed to see that people find their way to all my previous blogposts as well. The first post on my blog is still the most-read today, with an engagement score of over 90 percent (!). I cannot be grateful enough for these saving lessons taught by my parents.

Growing up with saving as the default helped me graduate debt-free. The real inheritance? A mindset of freedom, preparation, and calm.

I've once heard that creativity is often nothing more than your ability to see relationships between already existing things, and then acting on them. Great advice!

Absolutely agree, Steeve! Can I ask what have you personally done to increase your earning potential, and if you've got any tips from personal experience?
