Now I like and respect Scary Godmother, and it's always nice seeing American viewers talk about it fondly. But as a Canadian who watched it 50 quadrillion times whether he wanted to or not for over a decade, I've gotten my fill for a bit. I can still recite that thing in my sleep.

Speaking from experience, if I found a movie's narrative to be dull/boring the first time through, another watch isn't going to do much for me - if I were to watch it again, it wouldn't be anytime soon. I can forgive a lot for a movie, game, etc. as long as it entertained me.

Just saw this movie today, and it's kind of an Akira situation where it looked visually stunning, but I couldn't make heads or tails of the plot. Not as much action as I thought there'd be either (and a lot of info dumps/static talking heads haha). Still, glad I watched it. So, am I nuts or what?

She's got a good design/vibe, but that's all she ever had back then - a fun personality won out for me. I know the Toads are humans originally etc., but I was just happy to see them again. The most fun Battletoads I've ever played, and I've played em all.

Also her boss fight (in Battlemaniacs especially) amounts to nothing more than a static .png. I spent 10+ years of my life getting through this game, just to fight a music store standee?

Before Battletoads 2020 (which I love), no one ever talked about the Dark Queen, much less how "great" a villain she was, cus she had the personality of an unwashed Idaho Russet.
