Like rn in Tucson, it is impossible for me to live a walkable distance from my job. The housing nearby is out of my price range. The closest I could afford to live to my job would no longer be walkable. And even if I did live close by, the walking isn’t safe because there aren’t sidewalks

I would love to live somewhere walkable but have only experienced that while living on campus as an undergraduate. I have never lived in a city or community that was walkable, and if it did have that it was/is in parts of town I can’t afford

I’m from NC, lived in charlotte for 10 years, and yes my suburban neighborhood had no sidewalks. Not safe to walk even when things are a walkable distance.
