That new version of GZDoom with slop code is looking great. Thank you swamp chicken man. Very cool.

Dead or Alive (up until DOA4) played a role during my childhood as somebody who actively played fighting games. My favorite characters were Ayane, Kasumi and Helena. I remember saying about Akage's breast physics being somewhat inspired by DOA1. (Zero Gravity Boobs!)

R.I.P Tomonobu Itagaki.
I only remember him for his video talking about his game development journey. Now I just looked up what you were meaning by "fart fetishist" and LMFAO that name, "Fart Master"..
Having woken up to hear the news, I'd say good riddance to Graf Zahl. From forcing unneeded texture filtering to being a "salty member" to breaking code with untested AI generated code. It's no wonder why I jokingly use NUTS.WAD as the benchmark testing ground. Best of luck to UZDoom.
Major evolution in the GZDoom community tonight - the regular contributors finally had enough of the project lead, who had been very hard to work with for a long time. He dug in and told them "If you don't like it, go and make your own fork."

UZDoom is now live here.

Also another reason I never bought into monetizing my content because I will feel more limited due to the worry of not having my content demonetized. (I want to wear my beret and fishnet panties at peace yknow?)
Another disadvantage is facing restrictions. (contracts amirite?)

Funny example : If I'm told I can't play a Quake mod on stream then I can't because I would be violating the contract. But being indie, I am allowed to play a Quake mod while I say 'fuck' every 15 seconds. :P
Honestly. I never saw much interest in VTuber agencies. Yeah I get funding and support but at the risk of losing control of my property. Knowing myself I care ALOT about Akage as it played a big role in my following. Though given the list of controversies about agencies, I'm glad to be an indie.
It's so strange. Rockstar made them freeware, then gets listed on Steam for people to pay, and then gets delisted. This shit is why I am never afraid to advocate piracy. Especially since selling digital copies of games is a blessing and a curse. Thank god for archive.org as always.

A silly thought. If I had the best of luck and won lotteries, I'd be using it to buy the IPs of many games just so I could make them public domain with source code releases. And I have a grocery list of games I would've love to see source ports (especially with multiplayer support)
Honestly a source port that is on GitHub with multiplayer support would be something I would've loved to see.
Remaster GTA 1, you cowards!
I could also imagine the growth of e-waste booming thanks to the arbitrary requirements needed to upgrade. This will mostly affect tech-illiterate users since they aren't aware of the workarounds behind these requirements. (I recommend Rufus for installing Windows 11 as my workaround)
Nearly 30 minutes left until Windows 10 reaches end of life.

A reminder that while most will remain on there for years to come, it's all about how long most software will maintain support for it. Currently I am on Windows 11 23H2 despite 25H2 existing. New doesn't always mean great or stable.
I just remembered that next Tuesday is Windows 10's end of life.

I may not be a big fan of the Metro design (only fits well with Windows Mobile, who remembers that?) but I think Windows 11 isn't great either despite making their UI more tolerable (imho).

..I miss the Luna/Classic look so much.

Indeed. It's a good starting point for creating the main game loop. I think I might be having a hard time trying to break down how to go about rendering a level with a 2D camera but don't know where to work in order. I might study Dave Gnukem source code for ideas. (basically FOSS Duke Nukem 1)
C? C#? Python? (good luck), Godot?, Unreal Engine?, Unity?, Scratch?

What should make first? Black screen? A camera viewport? but wait how do I get a level to show? do I need a level format? should I read somebody's entire source code 50 times to get the answer? Fuck, this is making me a mess.
*sigh* I want to make a top-down shooter game that looks like something from the early 90s. I can do graphics and levels but the biggest obstacle that always kills it for me.. Programming.. It's not impossible but the footing has me so overwhelmed. {1/2}
Trying out this silly idea. Akage Megane Out of Context! (Or you can call it bloopers maybe?)

As a result of that, I normally just treat highlights and livestreaming as more of a supplement to my channel while my scripted content became the main attraction.
Meanwhile, my channel has seen growth not because of my livestreams and the edited highlights but more so my scripted and informative videos. Which as a VTuber seems to carve an interesting niche as I haven't seen many Babinikus do scripted game and tech videos (especially retro).
Having looked in your channel previously, I can say with experience that YouTube's algorithm favors more shorter engaging videos than unedited VODs/Highlights. Then again most of my experience was spent on making videos as I only got into streaming actively as early as 2021.
