Welcome to the new home of #TheANPA!

The ANPA advocates for and with #Neurodivergent parents in #Australia, in alignment with the #UnitedNations Convention on the Rights of Persons with #Disabilities (#UNCRPD) 2008.

Stay tuned for more.

#NothingAboutUsWithoutUs! 🤜 ♥
Appoint a single Neurodivergent mother to a Neurodivergent child, who are both participants, and not part of the current inside clique with govt. Then, we might take the committee seriously. Until then, nah.

Lived experience representation matters.
Are the two things connected?

Maybe not.

But it would be worth looking at.
There's about 80k kids under 18 in NSW with ADHD. On average, someone with a stims script spends $1000 a year on mandatory appts to maintain a script.

That amounts to about 80 million a year in possible consults.

Bulk billing ADHD GP led care would cost the private sector huge $$$$

#NSWHealth
Fun fact:

Committee that declined GPs in Hazelbrook their prescriber status, the stimulants advisory committee, has a high number of private practitioners.

The new NDIS Reform Advisory Committee is a joke.

They know what needs to be done.

They just don't want to do it.

No. More. Committees.

We will die of shock if anyone but the most centrist and govt pleasing candidates are on it, also.

#NDIS
Why is this needed when they already know what needs to be done? They just don't want to do it. This is a waste of Disabled time. No more committees.
This announcement and this committee is a bunch of bullshit. No Disabled person we know is impressed. Ooh, another committee. 🫠

This is the NDIS under Labor.
#NDIS How it's going.

NDIA: Here's a plan that doesn't cover everything that you need.

Me: Ok, I'll work creatively to find cost effective solutions to get the most out of my funds.

NDIS changes 2024: You can't have anything that's outside the box! That's cheating. We'll fine you 👮.

So his legacy is stealing Greens policy at the 11th hour. Cool. Guess he didn't want his legacy to be #Gaza and the wrecking of the #NDIS.
When you use ableist language like this, you lose all credibility and prove, again, why Disabled people and our associates are not putting the ALP at the first position this election. When you are done laughing and mocking, perhaps you will realise that the 20 percent have a large share of the vote.
None of us here have elected conservative governments.
We are very concerned by reports that the ADHD shared care GP clinic is Hazelbrook has had its prescribing capacity removed by #NSWHealth

We are meeting with stakeholders this week to discuss concerns + actions to take to keep this vital service available to the #NDCommunity in the #BlueMountains
Do we matter enough to protect?

We do, to each other.
How long will they keep resting on achievements from the past without confronting the fact that right now, they are neocons?

Now do pensions, healthcare, industrial awards / courts, Gonski, NDIS, childcare, ma/paternity leave, family court / garnishing, parenting payments and more...
No matter how you feel about the Australian Labor Party right now, remember this—Labor championed sick leave for all of us. #auspol
Thanks to everyone who came to our #AGM yesterday. It was a lovely meeting. We elected a new board of 6 committee members. Continuing as Pres is Sarah Langston, Vice Pres elect is Michael Coles, Sec is Alecia Bryant. General board members - Kate McCann, Kathleen Murphy, and Louise Cooper. Go team!

Musk said he could end it with $6 billion if the UN gave him a proposal. They gave it to him. He didn't look at it & instead spent $55 billion on Twitter.

We need a lot more federal politicians coming to the Northern Territory, to listen and learn, and that’s why I'm here now. The community are loud and clear that CLP moves to lock up 10 year old kids do not represent their values and won't make anyone safer.

The oldest Robodebt proverb: the junior staffers were always right
Public pressure paved the way for the reconsideration of the NACC's appalling original decision.

Does make one wonder about how many other non-investigations the NACC may have got wrong.

A shout-out to the junior NACC officer who recommended investigating the #Robotdebt6 but got overruled.
