I believe my modesty is my only flaw. Not really aggressive, or a hippy. He/him.

A workmate occasionally asks me "living the dream?" as a greeting, in an "everything is awful isn't it?" kinda way.

Well. I have a wife and kids I love, a happy home, car I like to drive, a little more money than month.

So yes, I am living the dream I had 20 years ago. It's good to remember that.
Why yes, I, as a grown man did indeed shed a tear or two at the end of Yakuza 6.
I still blame Clippy.

If we hadn't tolerated it we wouldn't be where we are today.
I'm juuuust old enough to have played the original Space Invaders in an arcade.
Nowadays I'd rather chill with a game rather than watch a movie, game writing can be incredible. The number of times I've had to put my Steam Deck down for a little think cos the story has hit so hard emotionally.
I've just finished God of War. I can see why loads like it but it wasn't for me, too linear fetch-questy, too many annoyances like the combat and timing required for some puzzles and didn't engage with Kratos.

Now sinking into Yakuza 5, playing through the series chasing the feeling Zero gave me.
Agreed! It's a conversation where you can't answer back, just have to be talked at. At least you can skim text, you can't even speed it up and find some shred of amusement in them sounding like Mickey Mouse.
I reply, finger over the mic so they have to strain to hear. Till I say something rude.
I was very, very young at the time (honest!) but I remember playing at the Hop Pole while my parents had a drink and them explaining the canal was dry because someone had pulled the plug.

Even at that age I didn't believe it!
Blew me away, one of the best gigs I've ever been to. The songs, the performances, the interaction and the whole crowd so into it... just brilliant.
Massive congratulations! It's a truly stunning album, blown away by the performances.
We're still discussing the timeline over the trilogy though 🤣 Personally I'm stuck on 'At the Window' and Interlude three 😆

We can't wait to discover the new stage show on Friday!
I swapped to a left handed mouse (seriously, it's shaped differently) recently during an arthritis flare up, which was annoying as I had to let it go to use a pen.
But on the plus side it stopped micromanaging colleagues taking my mouse to 'show' me things as it freaked them out.
Being left handed I was scolded by my 'posh' grandmother for holding my cutlery wrong because "it will be embarrassing in Restaurants".

Gran. As an adult I've managed to embarrass myself in Restaurants in many interesting and varied ways, but how I hold my knife and fork has never been one of them.
I know the XJS faced a lot of negative criticism at the time because it was so different than what went before (hmmm, sounds familiar...) but I think it's a great design, even now.
The limitations of 'real' bumpers, rather than the huge pressings of today give cars so much character too.
It's heeeeeere!

Well, at home, I now have the agonising wait until I can leave work and listen (until the download code appears anyway).

I've not been this excited to listen to an album in quite a while, really looking forward to diving into @wardxvi.bsky.social's third album.
Smiling and secretly rocking in the office listening to @wardxvi.bsky.social's radio residency on @primordialradio.bsky.social.

New album next week and launch gig to follow - really feeling the anticipation now!
I think Bob Vylan have this covered..
Wait until he hears about "Lynch Your Leaders".
"Living the dream?"
"What do you know then?"
"Doing anything at the weekend?"
There's a huge range of talent writing for children/young adults, it just needs looking past the headline supermarket shelf writers.

The lovely @wonderlandbookshop.bsky.social gives great advice and has a list of alternative authors I believe.
I still can't get my head around how someone can listen to that song and come to that conclusion.

Or rather, it's too terrifying to consider why they think that way.
Pitfall!

It's funny, I can walk around a AAA open world filled with stunning vistas and take them for granted now, they hardly register, whereas the swinging rope was utterly amazing - incredible physics!
Look, it's not that I'm egotistical or have trouble passing a mirror or anything, but I just want to say that after my music video debut in Square Wild's 'Sloth' last year, I am ruddy chuffed to show my mad 'walking through a door' skillz in @wardxvi.bsky.social's new video for 'Legion'.
Honestly, I don't want to put you in the same situation as The Old Sal gig, where you were let down too.

We've contacted two venues directly - so if we don't hear back I'll drop you a line then perhaps, ok?
Hey, it's not your responsibility and we totally know and appreciate the amount of effort you put in.

Most ticket sites have the info (we have Academy 2 tickets) but it's Sod's Law the two tour venues we were mainly looking at don't list restrictions. We've emailed them directly, so it's all good.
That's also a fair point, and to be absolutely clear I don't blame the bands. Especially Ward, as they've gone out their way to help us in the past.

And most venues are helpful and do reply but there is the odd one who don't answer emails and have the wrong phone number on their site.
