The latest piece is done - attempted oil painting style - the transparency of the wings and such were such a pain but I am happy with it.

Commissions for this style, or any other style I do, are currently open! Contact me for your project!
My way to weed out scammers is to simply ask questions about which one of my pieces did they see specifically that caused them to reach out, mention the contract that I use (signed and notarized) and that work doesn't begin until payment is cleared, contract signed, etc. They never ever have replied

So, it’s actually a coup.

This whole thing.

It’s a coup.

We need to start treating it as such.

That time I was in Paris and drew a mime cause I was sad there was no mimes
advantage of someone in a less well-off country because "those pennies would be like thousands to those people".

Seriously, your tiny band's demo is going nowhere bro. Stay in your lane. I tried to help, too bad you decided to not listen.

and they decide to take it as if it's a personal attack when you say "Wanting 3 album covers fully painted and rendered in that style for what you have as a budget is asinine unless you manipulate someone into working for pennies an hour" and then reveal themselves as being fine with taking
I find it funny if someone asks for help, or advice, with finding an artist to do something on Reddit - you give them a breakdown that what they want really wouldn't be able to be done with the zero-budget they actually have for the project, but also explain the whats and whys...
and learn new styles and techniques, but when I go to attempt it; it just feels so off. So you erase and try over and over and over again... until youre like 20 hours into a piece that is supposed to look sketchy and unfinished and flowy... but it doesn't. It just looks fucked.

Cause. Yeah.
Have you ever saw a particular art style and went "I wanna try something like that!" and then you sat down to do it and hated yourself for not being able to nail exactly what you wanted?

That has been my past like 2 weeks. Saw a lot of great art on Xiaohongshu and wanted to expand my repertoire

Respectfully disagree with this one, I ended up enjoying it more than the original (which I hated actually). Is it great? Nope. But def not the worst of the year in my little brain 😊
God, I'm literally RIGHT HERE.... tag me next time ;) LOL
A new experimental piece, 45+ hours - I struggled SO hard on getting this to where it's at now, and I hit a point of diminishing returns when it came to doing more work on it. I'm still not happy but once I put my signature onto a piece it's done - no more fucking with it.

On to the next piece.
I should get better at posting - but, let's be honest here... I am not that interesting in a social setting.

Get to know me and I won't shut the fuck up about anything I'm passionate about.

But in a forum like this? My anxiety, PTSD, and all the other brain things I have going for me take over.
Each piece I cant go back and fix mistakes I see afterwards at all, and I see so many mistakes it's asinine BUT I spend way too much time nitpicking things and wanting to redo things instead of pushing myself to just make the next piece better.

It's a bad habit.
I've been doing a series of personal art pieces in order to teach myself new techniques that more line up with the vision I have for myself and my art.

The first one, while I thought was good, actually was a failure. The 2nd one, so far, is going far better.

But we shall see.
One of the most infuriating things, to me, is to hear the same thing repeated over and over.

My son is arguing with his best friend during a Roblox game and for the past 20 minutes all I hear is "I said I was going to do it. Let me do it" over and over and over...

all cause of a puzzle. A PUZZLE.
I did.
Technically but I dont make a living at it?
When I have jobs to do, yes.

I know I am of zero help.

You're welcome.

LOL
