Unapologetically Canadian. An eclectic brewing of old traditions and new technology. Easily distracted by fresh snow. Biological woman. https://laurabrown.ca/ @asciiartist.bsky.social @herselfaq3d.bsky.social @merrysims.bsky.social paypal.me/laurabrownca

@pfefferle.org Is there a way to post bluesky posts to a WordPress, or other, site? This would save me SO much time. I could just edit and expand on what I've already written.
Do they really have snowflake tires? I don't have a car anymore but those would have been my first choice for new tires.
Yesterday I had a tooth pulled out. Other than pierced ears I've never felt I wanted to try body modification. Now, I don't have to. Let them try dental body modification. No doubt someone has done it. (Mine wasn't cosmetic).
A writing related joke I found in my old blog posts.
Circuit board tree art. I can't think of anywhere to put it, but I like it. www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1...
I've seen Shaun of the Dead. It was very good as comedy horror. Another really good one en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_an... I had to search to remember the name. I watched it twice, and I'd watch it again still.

Sounds like a Halloween story. A missing woman, never actually missing, something oddball like that.
Halloween ASCII art, my own. #ASCIIart @lovehorrorfam.bsky.social asciiartist.com/ldb/hallowee... Not very horrifying but is what I like to do.
@lovehorrorfam.bsky.social I found your site linked by @theaoryanfiles.bsky.social When I searched for your name (I was curious) this is what came up on top. It works for Halloween and horror. Happy Halloween!
It sucks a lot more when more and more of them are your same age, or not far enough from it.
I remember that woman and that look, but I can't think of who she is and what movie/ show it was from. I prefer a creative story, not showing a lot of killings, or sex. I like old movies where all you see is the door closing, maybe a shadow at most.

so cool to see both how far we've come and how many tricks we still (in some form) use
I like watching old movies for the things people would not dare to show now. Realty is kind of smothered these days.

Have you seen inflatable costumes? This is a first for me. How does someone wear it without suffocating? It does look like someone is inside the costume, not just a lawn ornament thing. amzn.to/3LoIqpG
Thanks for the link, and encouragement. I bought a book (the updated version of the old Nutshell guide), and started learning, early this year. I was determined to go back to building my own sites. There is more involved now, more scripts and code. Maybe a live guide will help. I will try it.
@asciiartist.bsky.social Happy Thanksgiving from Canada. We had the dinner over the weekend and I forgot it is actually today. #CanadianThanksgiving
I didn't think there was anywhere on the planet mosquitos had not made their way, other than extreme climates like the Antarctic.
I was thinking about how human behaviour is changed by technology. Life was different when people had to struggle more. People seem caught up in small stuff, spend more time over thinking and nit picking, instead of having to survive a winter, being chased by hungry bears, etc.
