Fitness update 7: For the first time since I started weight-training, I managed to lift 100 lbs (doing leg extensions)! 🥳 I’ve been having major self-doubt recently so this brought so much joy 🥺 Thank you for all the encouragement and support btw 🥹 It means so much 💜

Fitness update 5/6: So I went to get a check-up since starting this lil journey, and for the first time in about a DECADE, the nurse told me my blood pressure was PERFECT! I nearly cried, because I’d been getting somewhat-concerningly high numbers before I moved. I feel like I’ve done so much 🥹

I wrote everything in detail below (warning: it’s very sentimental), but for those who want a TL;DR: I’m truly overjoyed about my time in Chicago so far, but I still need more time to settle in before I can think about streaming again. The move to Chicago has been so much better than I could imagine. I feel so happy not just being closer to friends and peers, but also getting to experience a city that has been so welcoming and kind to me, unlike my hometown. One aspect of living in my rural hometown I hated was the constant feeling of loneliness: I could probably count on one hand the number of people I SAW during a week. Another part of the isolation I went through these past few years was that there weren’t many (sometimes any) things to do. Growing up in a dying rural town introduced to me that I was missing out on a LOT of activities. There was basically no day life, let alone nightlife (apart from the animals 🦌 and insects 🦗 and such). Legitimately one of the most exciting excursions in my hometown was just going to the supermarket. But now I’m almost overwhelmed by the journeys I can go on! I’ve seen escape rooms, clubs, gyms, AN ICE CREAM MUSEUM(???????!?!!!).
