I hate everything about my government today. Same as yesterday. It's hard to live right now. I'm disheartened by so many things, but I also know that despair is what the fascists want. So, they can get me down sometimes, but despair, as my lovely Philip DeFranco shirt says, is not an option.

It would make me smile for her to live too, but there are those of us who were touched by one of the most shocking moments in gaming history who cherish the lessons the character and developers were trying to teach us with Aerith's character. Don't try telling me I don't love her because of that.

For a lot of us back in'97 (and even today!), it was a lesson that life is harsh, that you have to make the most of your life and live it to the fullest. Aerith says as much in the Remakes, and I get it...
