It's a massive risk. If Trump is feeling tetchy then Australia might be targeted - our PBS, free press and good relationships with neighbours including China are all things that Trump could choose to take offence at.

Yes - I thought this after the first Trump assassination attempt. The sort of angry young men that used to go and shoot up schools - now target prominent figures (possibly because shooting kids is barely worth of comment anymore).

Always something interesting happening in Spring. The Pink Eared Ducks were being particularly aggressive - as this Hard Head found out. Reason - the cutest little crop of duckling hidden away behind the action. #birds #birdphotography

I've not actually noticed them eating the head first (will watch out for it). But I have noticed that they tend to take some fairly well chewed corpses back for the mate stuck on the nest.

It's not just that - it's other politicians and even world leaders sitting and smiling and nodding whilst he rambles on. Someone just needs to stand up and yell "what the fuck are you talking about" and then thoroughly berate the media and his staff for going along with the charade.

In Djilba (sort of Spring to the Nyoongar people) the Crested Grebes return to the lake. And they dance. And they give each other gifts (pond weed). And eventually they will have little babies that ride on their backs and eat feathers. #birds #birdphotography

I'm watching (in despair) from Australia. And people HERE are talking about Newsom and how refreshing it is to see some fight. Probably the 30% of Americans who didn't even turn up to vote are likely to have at least heard of Newsom - and might even vote for him.

I totally agree. And YET - where is this unicorn Democrat with 100% perfect credentials who will also take the fight to Trump in the way Newsom is now? Because while you're waiting for that perfect person the GOP are burning your democracy to the ground.
