What are the pros and cons of not offering a free trial for a new app?

It's fascinating how the life of an average indie hacker is changing. With tools like GPT, Claude, Cursor, etc, you can now create something cool in just weeks, all by yourself. I spent 7 months on my first project just to build something basic. Now I need only a few weeks to make something advanced

I tried affiliate marketing for one of my products and got a lot of affiliates. They brought in some traffic, but the quality was bad and didn’t convert into sales. How do you recruit high-quality affiliates? I'd love to hear any tips or experiences.

Today, I deployed my app to production to test how Stripe works with real cards. This is something I usually do before the official launch. While testing, two people used the app and bought credits—making the first sales before the official launch. That’s fun 😬🤣

I've decided to go with a credit-based pricing model instead of a subscription. This way, users can keep their spending low and use the app only when they need it and for what they need.

This weekend I am launching a new app. It will be one of the most affordable SEO tools on the market. It doesn’t have all the advanced features of large platforms yet, but it has all the essentials. Even though this is my 4th launch, I'm more worried than I was with the previous ones.

I guess it’s time to start thinking about micro-SaaS ideas around 🦋.

A month ago, I launched a free version of a SaaS boilerplate. From a visual perspective, the aesthetics aren’t its strongest point, but the main idea was to avoid adding too much styling, allowing users to choose their preferred UI library and save a few days cleaning up the codebase.

I’ve built a SaaS starter kit and am currently working on an all-in-one SEO tool for an initial organic search boost. What other needs do we, as indie hackers, typically have when launching micro-SaaS projects?

It took me 3 weeks to build an MVP for my new idea. Thanks to a starter kit startfast.cc , ChatGPT and Claude. Usually, it takes up to 2-3 months to build something like this

As an indie developer, I've launched several micro SaaS projects, always facing the same challenges with SEO. That's why I built RankFaster.pro - an all-in-one tool to help with launching products. It solves my biggest pain point, and I hope it will help other developers and entrepreneurs too.
