Honest question for the artists in the synth scene: What's the point of signing to a label, especially synthwave? Everything is based off numbers and if you're pushing good numbers, why would you bring a label into it? What is the actual benefits other than more promo?

Mastering (to me at least) is the easiest part. The mix is what takes me the most time. A solid, well-balanced mix makes mastering easy. I started writing without mixing anything and use that as a great starting point. If it sounds good without any processing, the mix will be easier to do.
