FLORIDA now requires public schools to share space with charter schools, and “one charter operator intends to occupy space in more than 100 public schools (!)” 🤔

Privatizing public schools at breakneck speed, filling their pockets with taxpayer funds. www.fox13news.com/news/charter...

This is what climate scientists have been warning about for decades. We were told, by people sprawled on their fainting couches, that the scientists were just fear mongering.

Many of the world‘s largest cities are coastal. It won’t just be towns, but cities that will have to be abandoned.

🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

We currently have an openly eugenicist administration in power. Anyone going along with the narrative is giving power to the belief that it is okay to just let disabled and vulnerable die. Masking *is* a way to show solidarity and fight back against eugenics.

For the #Spacetober day 11 prompt wavelength: my #linocut of trailblazing US #astronomer Annie Jump Cannon (1863 – 1941) with her stellar classification system which sorted stars based on spectral types, revealing their temperature from hot blue to cool red stars: O,B,A, F, G, K & M. 🐡🧪🔭👩🏼‍🔬 #histsci 🧵
My linocut of Annie Jump Cannon shows her in a 3/4 profile view wearing a shirt with a lace collar and her hair up. She is printed in a gradient of violet at the bottom to green at the top, printed on white 11” x 14” paper. The background is printed in a gradient (left to right) of dark blue, light blue, yellow, pale yellow, pale orange, orange and red. The background block excludes her silhouette of shoulder and head with the exception of a smattering of small dots in a swath from upper left to lower right (which extends to white spots on the coloured background). Also along the bottom are a series of circles of decreasing size (left to right, blue through red) labelled O, B, A, F, G, K, M. There’s a axis line along the bottom with 6 tick marks. Vertically from top to bottom along the left side are 15-, 10-, 5-, 0, 5, 20, 15.

Happy birthday to #entomologist Margaret Fountaine (1862-1940), here in my #linocut with many butterflies from her collection. 🧪🐡👩🏼‍🔬#histsci

Her posthumous books featured her "wild and fearless life," but she was also a trailblazing famous Victorian lepidopterist, published in The Entomologist's 🧵1/n
My linocut portrait of Margaret Fountaine, a Victorian woman in elaborate hat with wings, blouse with lace collar, skirt and fur stole, printed in burgundy ink. Behind her are diagonal rows of butterflies with little labels, printed in various combinations of orange, black, yellow and brown white white.

Trump on Egypt: "They have very little crime. Because they don't play games. That's why. Like we do in the United States with governors that have no idea what they're doing."

So now the Administration are saying that the mass firing of CDC scientists, including many responsible for preventing outbreaks, was an “error” and many will be brought back.

Whether by intention or incompetence, dismantling public health will kill people.
