That’s part of why I think I’m feeling this so hard. Since Prince’s death, I’ve said multiple times that I don’t care if D ever made another album, as long as he was ok. Now, I know he’s not ok and there won’t be another album. Oh, but the three he did share with us!!! The epitome of Black genius!!!

Agree on JS’s 1st tour. The best show I’ve ever seen was Maxwell’s 1st. AMAZING energy. We were in the last row of the balcony of the Chicago Theatre which completely worked because we ended up dancing in the back aisle behind our row. Almost 30 years ago and I still get a buzz thinking about it.

I don’t normally do the shopping in our home but decided I’d surprise my husband and not only go to the grocery store but cook. I was absolutely stunned that the pot roast I bought was nearly $30.

My grandmother smoked Benson & Hedges Menthol. When I was spending the night at her house, I was often on "run down to the store and get me a pack of cigarettes" duty. The store's owner looked out for me every time 7 or 8 year old me would ask for the wrong ones. The early 80s were a different time.
