You're not alone!

Trust your instincts—if something feels off, ask directly, listen, & connect them to help.

It's better to ask when concerned than wish you had. Worst case if you ask? They say no and know you care.

Help is always available. For teens and those worried for a teen, call or text Teen Lifeline at 602-248-8336. You're not alone!

"Are you thinking about suicide?"

It's hard to ask, but harder to face suicidal thoughts alone. By asking directly, you show you can handle their honest answer.

Today is #WorldSuicidePreventionDay, and asking saves lives. But to help you have that convo, here's a roadmap...🧵
And if you see these signs in yourself, please reach out to a friend, trusted adult, or hotline! We know it's hard—that's why we're here. Even if you're not sure what to say, we'll figure it out together.

Whether it's for you or a teen you know, Teen Lifeline is here by call or text:
...and sometimes it's a sudden, unexpected cheer or calm (because they've resolved to attempt suicide).

Anyone can have suicidal thoughts. If you see warning signs, don't wait—check in. Don't be afraid to ask, "Are you thinking about suicide?"

Trust your gut: if something feels wrong, reach out.
You could save a life by learning the warning signs of teen suicide💜

Most teens give warning signs before acting on thoughts of suicide, but those signs aren't always obvious. Sometimes it's weeks of visible sadness...🧵

How do we truly protect the teens we love?☂️

Real protection isn't controlling choices—it's creating space for them to be exactly who they are while building what they need to thrive: connection, confidence, coping skills, and care.

Every teen deserves adults who see, celebrate, & stand by them🌈
Every Arizona teen deserves a safe place when life gets overwhelming. At Teen Lifeline, we welcome all teens exactly as they are—safe to be themselves with genuine support from peer counselors who understand❤️

Call/text 602-248-8336. You're not alone!
Uncertainty feels scary because it's out of our control. But it’s not your job to know or fix everything. No one can carry the world alone.

Breathe. Make plans—text a friend, start that show—to anchor yourself in.
