It has to be someone Teejay can trust, who he thinks will have a useful answer (and not just placations), and he's okay showing vulnerability to.
Thancred and Y'shtola often hit all three boxes, but e.g. the twins and G'raha look up to him too much, and Urianger has lost Teejay's trust.

Occasionally he absentmindedly walks into the building next to The Pendants instead of The Pendants and has to live with the shame that the attendant has started to just immediately be like "wrong one" as soon as he enters.

TBH I don't personally like how they decided to start calling attention to/lore justifying 8 person content having 7 other people, so a lot of instances (e.g. Arcadion) are just solo.
But when he does use it, I imagine Teejay is summoning shades of his rejoined souls or past incarnations.

TBH I don't personally like how they decided to start calling attention to/lore justifying 8 person content having 7 other people, so a lot of instances (e.g. Arcadion) are just solo.

Teejay definitely enjoys cooking. His go-to thing to make would probably be his favorite dish from back home in the First: a nice hearty stew.
I don't think he's an expert botanist or anything, but he does know enough to be able to supplement his stores of food while out adventuring.

I have both WoL and non-WoL canons for Teejay.

However, he's fairly good at disguising himself to avoid being recognized—I've been thinking that's how he does CUL things, almost like an alter ego that no one knows is the WoL. In that regard I'd say more like 8?

Water. Most of Teejay's stress outlets involve water in some way—taking a nice hot bath, or going for a long swim to burn pent-up energy, or diving under and basking in the tranquility beneath the surface.
He's a Sea Wolf, go figure. I didn't even plan it that way.

I don't think Teejay would find success trying to teach new things verbally, but he would be good at practical instruction. I've written in the past that I could see him becoming a combat teacher as a "retirement" job, and it would primarily be through hands-on regimens.

The hope and faith others place in Teejay, and the knowledge that he doesn't have to solve everything at once; taking things one small step at a time and making even the tiniest bit of progress can be enough.

The hope and faith others place in Teejay, and the knowledge that he doesn't have to solve everything at once; taking things one small step at a time and making even the tiniest bit of progress can be enough.

Teejay wouldn't use a feral soul, but I don't think it plays out as canon either—rather than conveniently summoning a full party of shades, I think he just powers through the fights 1v1, with his more-rejoined soul countering the feral soul.
If he did use one, I'd guess a soulkin like a Dullahan.

He'd see a lot of problems and trauma that have been buried and ignored. Negative events like the light poisoning in ShB that he didn't have time to process since there were Big Threats to deal with. Anxiety over making sure he correctly plays the role of hero to the public. etc, etc.
