The amount of games designed to 'waste' as much of your time as possible - I'm talking hostile game design decisions, is unreal these days. Guess it's kinda always been the case to an extent, but it just feels more obvious than it used to be given the prevalence of certain genres.

AI companies these days:
"Please pay for our subscriptions but don't ever ever use it! Please just pay the money!"

PSA: Some Wealthfront users (including me) are seeing accounts vanish and/or automatic transfers cancelled (that's how I found out one of my accounts is missing). Just confirmed with their support - it's a known issue they're working on. Might be worth checking your accounts to be safe though...

Pokémon Z-A looks like it could be great, and not that it'll dissuade any of the hard-core Pokémon fans from buying day one, but it's pretty clear that Gamefreak/TPC don't care at all about the game series anymore and I would take these initial trailers with a HUGE grain of salt lest we forget S&V.

The Oral-B iO series toothbrush app is a great way to grind your teeth into pulp if you listen to its recommendations. Half the time, it thinks I'm brushing on the wrong side. The other half, it thinks I'm brushing the center teeth even though I'm brushing the back teeth and doesn't count.

Learnt recently that if you're using all 4 of your DIMM slots, you're better off just giving up on trying to use XMP profiles. It's just never going to be stable... but at least I have 128gb of RAM now? 🤷‍♂️😢

Warriors Abyss is a fine enough top-down Musou game with Survivor elements. Is the price steep? Yeah. Are the cosmetics egregiously priced? Yeah. Is it on brand for Koei Tecmo? Yeah. Are we going to get a bunch of ridiculously priced DLCs adding basic gameplay mechanics and characters? Probably.

There's something just... therapeutic about reinstalling your OS. Everything seems to run faster, you install updated versions of stuff you never bothered with before, take new approaches to configuring applications that you didn't before, and seem to make it run better now... that's the good stuff!

This whole trend of not letting me choose where I install my apps and forcing me to install them on C by default is annoying. Stop it. I don't want to have to extract your universal installer in order to move things where I want. I have 2 NVMes; I want one for apps and one for games. Let me decide.

We really need more affordable 8tb NVMe drive options. To see the jump from ~250 bucks for 4 to ~750 bucks for 8 is asinine. And don't even get me started on Gen 5... what a garbage generation for storage. Just stick with Gen 4 if you're on the market unless you like high power draw and more fans...

Dynasty Warriors Origins isn't perfect, but it's one of those cases where a starved fanbase finally sees hope for something that isn't an egregious cash grab or bastardization of the series.

Really hope for character customization in the future and maybe take another stab at a GOOD Empires game...

Steam winter sale has been breaking my wallet this year - surprisingly more in DLC this year than anything else but in terms of action rogue likes, it's been hard putting Soulstone Survivors down. Really scratches that itch I've been chasing since Vampire Survivors caught me.

Decided to try and make my own - just got onto the AI part; trying to have it emulate like other news feed sites where you can search for feeds directly from the "Add feed" bar - kinda working but it's hard getting AI to "stick to the script" and only return feed results without it wigging out lol

Have been looking for a decent FOSS solution for RSS news feeds with AI curation. Seems to be somewhat of a unicorn-ask. I've used Feedly Pro for a year and am realizing that there's a lot of features that I'd be paying for that I don't care much about. Refeed seems close but no mobile app yet... 🤔
